23rd International Stellarator-Heliotron Workshop (ISHW)
June 20-24, Warsaw, Poland
The 23rd International Stellarator-Heliotron Workshop will be held on 20 – 24 June 2022 in Warsaw, Poland. The first event took place in Prague, then Czechoslovakia, in 1977. The recent one took place in Madison, Winsconsin in USA in 2019. This year, the Institute of Plasma Physics and Laser Microfusion has a great honor to organize the meeting in Warsaw. All the previous workshops can be traced on https://www.ipp.mpg.de/4022808/ISHW.
The Stellarator Workshop topics include the following:
- 3D effects on transport and confinement
- Impurity sources and transport
- Plasma edge physics and plasma wall interaction
- Energetic particles, MHD and plasma stability
- Theory and simulation
- Energy, particle and momentum transport
- Stellarator and Heliotron reactor design studies
- 3D effects in Tokamaks and Reversed Field Pinches
The Polish scientific community issued a joint statement regarding the Russian aggression against Ukraine, condemning the attack on our neighbour and the use of violence against it, expressing full solidarity with the entire Ukrainian nation and support for Ukraine as a sovereign state. The Ministry of Education and Science in Poland ordered a suspension of institutional collaboration on research with all formal and institutional partnerships with educational and knowledge institutions in the Russian Federation and Belarus. This means that we cannot accept conference registrations from scientists affiliated to a Russian or Belarussian institution.
