It is established at the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Rome "Tor Vergata" in agreement with ENEA, the 2nd Level Master Course in FUSION ENERGY - science and engineering. The Master fits in activities aimed at training activities included in the key elements of the roadmap of the European fusion program 'Horizon 2020': training of young scientists and engineers of the merger for the next machines ITER / DEMO. The course aims to train experts in the following areas of expertise:
- Operation of machines and experiments for fusion ( magnetic confinement and inertial)
- Fusion technologies
- Engineering machinery and the fusion reactor
In order to participate in the Master Course and obtain the official title (which has legal value according to the Italian law), candidates must have a 300-ECTS point Master degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering and Materials Science. They can also be admitted foreign students with qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Faculty Council, on a proposal of the Council of professors of the Master.
