2nd EMP Working Day

20 January 2017, Warsaw, Poland

We cordially invite all interested researchers to participate in a one-day event which would focus on strong electromagnetic pulses generated through laser-matter interactions at high laser energy and high intensity, and on related phenomena, namely extreme laser-induced currents and ultra-strong quasi-static fields. The meeting is intended as a follow-up to the informal meeting at CELIA, Bordeaux, held in March 2016, which had similar focus. It is expected that similarly as in Bordeaux the meeting would be attended by the scientists from major European laboratories: CELIA, CESTA, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, PALS, ENEA Frascati, CLPU Salamanca, and others. The meeting would take place in Warsaw, Poland, on Friday, 20 January 2017.

The meeting is hosted by the Institute of Plasma Physics and Laser Microfusion, Warsaw, (http://www.ifpilm.pl/en/), with the support from the COST Action MP1208 (http://laserfusion.eu/).

Organizers: CELIA - D. Batani, V. Tikhonchuk; IPPLM - P. Raczka, M. Rosinski
